Horizon Petroleum announces name change

Calgary, Alberta – April 4, 2016 – Horizon Petroleum plc (the “Corporation”) (TSX.V: HPL) announces that, in conjunction with a continuation of the Company from Jersey, Channel Islands, to Alberta, Canada, the Company will be changing its name from Horizon Petroleum plc to Horizon Petroleum Ltd.

The continuation and name change become effective as of market open, April 5, 2016. The Company continues to trade under the trading symbol “HPL”.
