Jersey, Channel Islands, October 9 2013

The Company is pleased to announce that it has changed its name from Acadia Resources Corp. to Horizon Petroleum plc; and that it has moved its domicile from British Columbia, Canada to Jersey, Channel Islands.

The Company began trading under the name of Horizon Petroleum plc, with the symbol “HPL” on October 8, 2013.

The corporate name change and the continuation to Jersey were approved at a Special Meeting of the shareholders on July 11, 2013 to more accurately portray the Company’s focus on oil and gas projects in Africa.

Peter Clutterbuck, CEO of Horizon Petroleum, commented as follows:

“We are very pleased to have completed this important step in our mission to become a leading petroleum company in Africa. Our Board and management team have extensive experience in upstream petroleum operations in both East Africa and West Africa, mostly during the last decade. Our knowledge and contact base gives us access to a unique range of opportunities in exploration, development and production. The current financial market has created openings for financing and developing excellent assets on very good terms, utilizing our existing TSXV listing. Horizon’s initial strategy is to focus on farming in or acquiring proven and probable reserves in West Africa, especially alongside quality indigenous partners. This may subsequently be augmented by entering into exploration plays primarily in the East Africa Rift margin”.
